As an artist, emotional empathy with people is the essence of my work.  In my portraits, I portray not only a physical likeness but the human spirit.  Whether working in rich oil or vibrant pastel it is always a quest to capture the unique beauty I see in everyone and everything.

I received my art education from The New York Phoenix School of Design in NYC. and The Art Center College of Art in Los Angeles, CA.  I have studied in an atelier environment with Daniel Greene. I have also studied with Albert Handell, Herman Marguiles, Frank Covino and Richard Clive.  I have been a Juror of Selection and Awards for local, regional, national and international competitions.

Accomplishments
Accepted as an Elected Member of Lyme Art Association, Lyme, CT.
Sept.2007-  Achieved Master Pastellist status from the Pastel Society of America, NYC. as well as an award in the 2007 PSA Exhibition.

Faculty member of the Amory Art Center in West Palm Beach, FL.

Arranged and directed the first art workshop program for the Anguilla Inernational Arts Festival in Anguilla,BWI. This included recruiting and retaining on contract four distinguished American artists, each specializing in specific mediums. 

Conducted exclusive 2-week long workshops for experienced artists to attain a more professional level in their painting careers (selected by their portfolios).

Conducted a two week workshop for the Hole in the Wall Camp in Ashford, CT.

I was an artist in residence, St. Maarten, NA, for gifted children and for teachers.

Organized a Summer Mission Program: a special study group of gifted youing adults in preparation for further education.

Artist in Residence, Connecticut Public Schools, under the auspices of the Milford, CT Fine Arts Council.

Teacher of Portrait Painting, Quinnipiac College, Hamden, CT.

Director Art Instruction Program, Cheshire,Ct. via teaching grant from the Connecticut Commission for the Arts, Hartford, CT.
