This portrait was created for Mr.Robert Dowler from Madison,Ct. of his beloved late wife Alyce Dowler. It was created from several photographs of her using a model similar to her size and build to portray her arms and hand holding a bouquet of her favorite flower, the daisy. Mr. Dowler's input and description of his late wife helped me to bring this portrait of Alyce to life in this pastel on archival handmade paper. It will be a lasting remembrance of her for her family to cherish for generations. I hope I have succeeded in portraying Alyce as an old fashioned yet simply elegant wife, mother and grandmother . This was a rewarding experience for me.
