This is another of our "playing dress up with vintage hats" The subject is Karin Genard , the wife of artist Ted Genard and she took on the mysterious genre of a woman on a make believe train in the old days. I played with the background and left it unfinished for me. I loved the dark colors in the shadows of the face under the hat. Terry Ludwig dark pastels were my best friends here.
I worked on a dark blue purple color canson paper to created the mood. This work was accepted into the American Women Artists National Juried Exhibition at the Bonner Gallery out in Scottsdale Az. in Sept 2015 and was pictured in Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine Fall of 2015
